QBCC Licence Demerit points

Just like with a driver's licence if you or your business commit offences against the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 you will accumulate demerit points. Offences can attract 2 to 10 QBCC demerit points. If you or your business accumulate 30 QBCC demerit points in a 3 year period, you or your business will be unable to hold a QBCC Licence for a period of 3 years.

If within 10 years of the first disqualification, you or your business again accumulate 30 QBCC demerit points over a 3 year period, you or your business will be the subject of a lifetime disqualification.

Accumulating QBCC demerit points if you are not currently licensed will affect your ability to apply for a licence in the future.

If you have been issued with a QBCC penalty call Lawyers Qld for legal advice on how this may affect you QBCC Licence and how you can defend the imposition of a fine and demerit points. Act quickly as your time to dispute the penalty is limited by the legislation. Call a specialist QBCC Licence Lawyer now on Brisbane and Regional Qld 0730365233 or Gold Coast 0756772533.
